A Girl Scout Bronze Award is the highest honor a Junior (Girl Scout in grades four or five) can earn by completing a project with over 20 hours of work to help their community. Our Bronze Award project last year was to create School Supply Shacks to make free school supplies easily available to all students, regardless of their family resources. We are stocking the Shacks with supplies from the Bloomington Public Schools official supply list. Our troop has also been storing these supplies in a separate location so that we have been able to restock the Shacks monthly throughout the whole school year, and hopefully will continue to be able to for years to come. We created an Amazon wishlist with these items so that the community can donate to help keep the projects stocked.
